— The 10-Day trip aims to strengthen cultural awareness, business growth of an untapped market, financial solidarity —

MEXICO CITY, MX – May 21, 2019 – (HISPANICIZE WIRE) - Mexico Culture & Pride will host a group of 20 prequalified, socially responsible U.S. entrepreneurs to visit local leaders, influencers, and artists on a work-play 10-day trip through historical cities like Mexico City, Puebla, and Oaxaca during Dia de Muertos from October 26 through November 4, 2019.

The trip is focused on using a collaborative learning model to educate attendees on the region’s economic, environmental and social sustainability while exploring culture, architecture and design, and food and commerce. Attendees will share their experiences and meet with local producers and artists, who will develop proposals of exclusive designs affording both the collaboration and benefit for their local communities accordingly.

“Our goal is to promote the importance of Mexican customs and traditions as sources of inspiration for our work of contemporary art,” says program coordinator of Mexico Culture & Pride, Fátima Martínez. “Previous trips have led to Mezcal exports to Holland, culinary experiences in Detroit, and product export to Northern California.”

The annual trips provide complementary educational opportunities to indigenous groups to facilitate ownership of new businesses and provide financial independence to the native communities. By creating a bond of knowledge and an exchange of ideas, the entrepreneurs and native artists generate new proposals and the experimentation of designs, with the goal of promoting small business of vulnerable communities to secure year-round employment of endemic people, preventing issues of migration.

The trip includes stops at Mexico City’s famed Frida Kahlo Museum, Casa Azul, Mezcal factories in Oaxaca de Juárez, dinner with Mexico’s Winner of “Top Chef,” and a visit to the shops that inspired the movie “Coco.” The trip culminates with a stop in Huatulco to relax while exploring the town’s nine bays, called Bays National Park, which is a protected reserve and earthly paradise.

The trip is limited to 20 people and early sign-up is encouraged for the highly sought after experience catered to entrepreneurs, which costs $3,000. Interested participants can secure their spot now through registration and payment via PayPal to Oaxacalives@gmail.com.
