Latino Thought Makers Announces Special Town Hall Appearance at HACU’s 31st Annual Conference with Guests Cheech Marin, Diane Guerrero, David Villarino & Rick Najera

LOS ANGELES, CA - September 13, 2017 – (HISPANICIZE WIRE) - Latino Thought Makers, a national conversation series featuring inspirational guests, has partnered with the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) for a special Town Hall event on Monday, October 30, 2017, as part of HACU’s 31st Annual Conference in San Diego, California. Special guest stars include actor/comedian CHEECH MARIN, actress/author DIANE GUERRERO(Orange is the New Black, Superior Donuts), FIELD CEO DAVID VILLARINO and show creator/host and award-winning writer/director/comedian, RICK NAJERA.

The exclusive Latino Thought Makers event is sponsored by FIELD (Farmworkers Institute of Education and Leadership Development) and will present Najera’s coined phrase, "Latinos are the Solution, Not the Problem: How Latinos in Media and Education Are Changing the Narrative and Creating Opportunities Now More than Ever” and will take place at Hilton San Diego Bayfront on Monday, October 30 from 3:30pm - 5:00pm.

Latino Thought Makers is an inspirational, live conversation series created and hosted by award-winning writer, director, author and comedian Rick Najera. Since its inception in 2013, the show has featured more than 100 inspiring and influential Latinos/Latinas such as Edward James Olmos, Dolores Huerta, Danny Trejo, Luis Guzman, Esai Morales, among others. The platform allows for guests to witness personal conversations and comedic camaraderie shared between Najera and his network of industry friends.

The HACU Annual Conference is the association’s premier conference on Hispanic higher education, bringing together more than 1,700 participants from across the United States, Puerto Rico and Latin America. Among the attendees will be administrators, faculty and staff from colleges and universities, students, and leaders and partners in higher education.
